If Canada had a national rallying cry, it might be “Give’r!” The phrase, Western Canadian slang for going all-out or putting in maximum effort, is short for “give her all you’ve got.” “Give’r” is all about positive attitude: keep going, find humour in the struggle, and value the effort as much as the results.
